What is the movement?

Our Mission is that "Every bottle has a second life waiting for it — and everyone who joins in gets us closer. The Northshore Glass Initiative, powered by Lemon Tree Glass Recycling, is a community coming together with one shared goal: 500 tons of glass diverted from landfills by the end of 2027. It's not just recycling — it's neighbors, businesses, and friends choosing to do good, together. Let your glass do good."

Why it Matters

EVERY BOTTLE MATTERS

Every Bottle has the potential for a second life. By keeping glass out of the landfills and in the recycling stream, we turn a simple act into something that benefits our entire community.

LOCAL ACTION ADDS UP

Real Change doesn’t happen because of one person — it happens when neighbors, businesses, and local organizations choose to work together. Every new participant strengthens the movement.

ONE MOVEMENT

The Northshore Glass initiative connects the people who have glass with the local partners who can collect, process, and give it new purpose. Together, we’re building recycling network that grows stronger with every bottle.

Choose your way to get involved

CONVENIENT CURBSIDE RECYCLINGFOR HOMEOWNERS

Glass recycling should be easy. Lemon Tree provides convenient curbside pickup for residents who want to keep their bottles out of landfills and give them a second life.

If you live in an HOA, subdivision, apartment community, or managed neighborhood, we’d love an introduction to your HOA board or property management company. One conversation can help bring class recycling to more of your community.

RECYCLING SOLUTIONS FOR BUSINESSES WITH GLASS

Restaurants, bars, breweries, wineries, retailers, and event spaces all have glass moving through their doors. The Northshore Glass Initiative helps businesses become part of a local recycling network while showing customers they are choosing to do good.

BUY LOCAL. DRINK LOCAL. RECYCLE LOCAL

The Buy Local. Drink Local. Recycle Local. Campaign helps connect local breweries, wineries, retailers, distributors, restaurants, and residents through one shared message: supporting local doesn’t end when the bottle is empty. Together we’re building awareness and making glass recycling part of the local experience

We’re actively looking for breweries, wineries, beverage distributors, retailers, and community organizations interested in helping grow the campaign across the Northshore.

Let Your Glass Do Good

Every bottle has the potential for a second life. Whether you're looking for residential service, business recycling, or want to help grow the Northshore Glass Initiative, we'd love to hear from you.
